Action controls
ReplaidSet action permissions and hourly limits, keep sending disabled while testing, check actions with dry runs, and inspect execution records.
respond.ioHosted MCP follows the connected user’s role. Built-in AI agents also have configurable conversation actions. Equivalent controls for every external-agent action were not verified. Source ↗
Messaging channels
ReplaidWhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, and a website widget. The current message workflow is text-based; WhatsApp replies require an open 24-hour customer-care window.

Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, and the Replaid widget support text only; attachments are not supported on these four channels. TikTok is not available yet. Check channel requirements before connecting.

Replaid: $299 once per team
The current offer is for the first 5 founding teams and includes $50 prepaid usage credit. There is no monthly platform fee under this offer. Paid channel usage, tax, external agent costs, and optional setup or maintenance are separate. Credit expires after one year. See the founding offer and terms.
respond.io: recurring plans
Starter: $99/month, or $948/year. Growth: $199/month, or $1,908/year. Advanced: $349/month, or $3,348/year.
Prices are USD. Annual totals are billed yearly. Growth and Advanced start at 1,000 monthly active contacts. Extra contacts cost $12 and $15 per 100, respectively. WhatsApp fees are separate. Check current plans and limits.
What do AI credits pay for?
respond.io includes AI credits for its built-in AI features. At the base contact tier, Growth includes 10,000 credits and Advanced includes 20,000. Agent replies typically use 2–5 credits; draft suggestions, translations, and chat summaries use 1 each.
On current paid plans, exceeding the allowance automatically adds $15 per 1,000 credits, rounded up. AI pauses at twice the included allowance. Read the AI credit rules.
Replaid does not include an AI agent. Your external provider charges for its own service. Replaid’s prepaid usage credit pays for supported paid channel operations; it is not a bundle of AI replies.

Questions before you choose.
Does respond.io have MCP?
Yes. It provides a hosted MCP server with OAuth for external assistants. Its setup guide does not clearly state a minimum plan, so confirm eligibility before buying. Read its hosted MCP guide.
Is Replaid always cheaper?
No. Its limited founding offer has a lower initial platform price than a year of the listed respond.io plans. The products include different features. Your external agent, channel usage, and setup costs affect the total.
Does connecting Replaid start automatic replies?
No. An MCP connection makes tools available when your agent runs. It does not start automatic replies. Your agent must be started by you, an external schedule, or a webhook receiver. Start with drafts and sending disabled, then test one permitted reply.
Which product fits a support team?
Consider respond.io if you need a manual reply composer, more channels, and visual routing workflows together. Consider Replaid if you already have an agent and want it to work with supported conversations under explicit action policies.
